A couple who went shopping after lightning damaged a television left the store with a winning Lotto ticket worth $21 million.
Rosemarie and Richard Cheverie, both 64, claimed the prize in Tallahassee on Friday. They opted for the one-time payment of $11,283,087.31, instead of 30 yearly installments of about $700,000.
The Cheveries, who have been married for 46 years, said they plan to help their children with the winnings, paying off their mortgages and buying one son a car, lottery officials said.
Only one ticket matched all six Florida Lotto numbers drawn late Wednesday to win the jackpot.
A total of 86 tickets matched five numbers to win $6,177.50; 5,634 tickets matched four numbers for $76.50; and 115,961 tickets matched three numbers for $5.
The winning Florida Lotto numbers selected Wednesday: 13-19-28-38-40-41.
