HANOVER PARK, Ill. — A Hanover Park, Illinois, woman recently won $15 million playing a World Class Millions Illinois Lottery ticket, according to an Illinois Lottery news release.

Michelle Baymon, of Hanover Park, bought one of three existing $15 million prize winning tickets and chose to take a lump sum of $9 million, as it requires less withholding, the release stated.

According to the release, she now plans to buy a house, a new car, invest some of the money and donate to a charity.

Baymon was home when she scratched her ticket and discovered she had become a millionaire.

"I passed it around for everyone in my family to look at it," she said in the release. "We didn't know how to react."

Baymon said she typically buys one or two instant lottery tickets every week, but she was still surprised by the lucky draw.

"This is an incredible blessing," she said. "I never expected something like this to happen to me."

She purchased the winning ticket at the Hanover Park Circle K at 1597 West Irving Park Road. As a bonus for selling the winning ticket, the convenience store will receive one percent of the prize amount, $150,000, according to the release.

World Class Millions is a $30 instant ticket offering three top prizes of $15 million and seven prizes of $1 million. Two of the top prizes, and six $1 million prizes have not been claimed, according to the release.

I hate the Illinois Lottery scratch off games. Although the top prize per game play cost beats practically ever other state, I have purchased more than my fair share of worthless pieces of card thick game pieces while winners have come from areas far away from where I live. I am especially suspicious of Illinois Lottery vendor Northstar discontinuing and pulling games that still have top prizes yet to be claimed or won. That makes me think they never had distributed the winning tickets in the first place, so false advertising which is a crime. Also, one of such games I have probably spent $1,000 playing at $10 per game  had a winner in Springfield...which is right where the Illinois Lottery headquarters is located. How convenient!

Congratulations, Michelle, on your HUGE Illinois Lottery scratch off jackpot win! Banana

I sure was captivated by this game's top 3 prizes; upon noticing it a couple of weeks ago!  I wondered how many months it would take for the 1st of the $15 million jackpot winners to reveal themself.  Actually, I think this game is only two months old, so I find this big win rather quick!

Wow that was fast! Somebody must have shipped the wrong pallet at the warehouse ha ha!

This game just came out... Good for her!

I agree oldschool... There's another scratcher that's been out for almost 3yrs now... 1 jackpot winner so far, bet they pull that game soon before paying out the remaining 2 now that the win for life is back.

Good thought, and how does anyone know these tickets really have a top prize ,i think the public has a right to know with verification. They reward as they profit and build the prize level from players.
