The winning ticket for the $14.5 million New Year's Eve Lotto Texas drawing was claimed today at the Texas Lottery's headquarters in Austin.

Brandi Jackson of Cypress, Texas, selected the cash value option and will receive the prize in one lump sum payment of $10,392,246.79.

"On behalf of the Texas Lottery, I want to congratulate Brandi on this exciting win and start of the new year," said Gary Grief, executive director of the Texas Lottery Commission. "We hope she will do great things with her prize money and we look forward to turning more Texans into millionaires in 2015."

Jackson's Quick Pick ticket matched all six numbers drawn (3, 6, 14, 43, 44, and 50) for the Dec. 31 drawing.

For selling the winning ticket, the Fairfield Food Mart at 15038 Mason Road in Cypress is eligible for a $146,747.49 retailer bonus.

The claimant requested minimal publicity.

Lotto Texas is played by picking six numbers from one to 54 and offers multi-million dollar jackpots. Drawings are every Wednesday and Saturday at 10:12 p.m. CT. For $1 more per play, a player can select the Extra! add-on feature and win up to $10,000 more on non-jackpot prizes. The current estimated annuitized jackpot for Lotto Texas is $5.25 million.
