Michigan Lottery

LANSING, Mich. — The Michigan Lottery plans to begin selling online subscriptions for games such as Mega Millions and Powerball starting this spring.

The state says the move will bring in more revenue for schools and improve the lottery experience, but some businesses are concerned it will hurt in-store ticket sales.

Daily 3, Daily 4 and Club Keno would not be part of the initial program, which allows customers to sign up for multiple ticket purchases over a period of time.

A new system called iLottery would begin offering online sales of single tickets and instant games near the end of the year. Gov. Rick Snyder's budget calls for $3.3 million to launch iLottery, which could include online, mobile and tablet applications.

We had MM online for a while, but you have to give your ss # and thats a big turnoff. Did'nt hurt store sales.

So does this mean if i purchase MM or PB online for MI and win, i will be able to claim the prize and not have to go public if say they give you that option.  Even if i live in Oregan?

I don't think you'll have to worry about that.

This'll be for Michigan residents only.
