New York Lottery players who frequent a popular Albany-area convenience store chain may be out of luck for a little while.
Lottery spokeswoman Jennifer Givner says terminals at some Stewart's Shops weren't working Sunday because of a glitch related to a statewide computer-system change. Lottery officials expect to resolve the problem by Monday.
Meanwhile, Givner says terminals are working at most of the other 16,500 lottery retailers around the state. She says the problem affects about 80 of Stewart's 328 stores. They use different terminals than other retailers do.
A woman who answered the phone at Stewart's Saratoga Springs headquarters said no one was available Sunday to discuss the lottery glitch.
The company is known locally for its ice cream.
