Ohio Lottery

CLEVELAND, Ohio — The Ohio Lottery says it's on a roll, with the introduction of Powerball helping the agency post another year of record sales.

Officials say the lottery enjoyed $2.48 billion in sales during the fiscal year that ended Wednesday, up from $2.42 billion in the previous fiscal year.

Sales grew for the ninth straight year.

The lottery says it has poured $728.6 in annual profits into a state education fund.

Officials say that's the second largest profit transfer in the lottery's 36-year history.

Powerball arrived in Ohio in mid-April, becoming the state's second multistate, multimillion dollar lottery game after Mega Millions.

The state already has had two tickets matching all the winning numbers, including one in early June worth a $261.6 million jackpot.

Delta Draw

That’s some welcome press for Ohio’s lottery! They need something to offset the Keno loses they are having. Yet another flagrant violation of reality.

Q: what is round on both sides and high in the middle?

A: O-HI-O
