BOISE — The Idaho $1,000,000 Raffle is 90 percent sold out, meaning there are about 25,000 of the $10 tickets still available.
"As fewer and fewer Raffle tickets remain, the speed at which players are purchasing them is definitely increasing," said Jeff Anderson, the Idaho Lottery director, in a prepared statement. "There may not be any left in the next day or two."
Only 250,000 tickets were available for purchase when the game began on October 31, representing a one in 250,000 chance at winning the top prize. In the previous two years of the raffle, tickets have always sold out.
In addition to the $1,000,000 prize, the Idaho Lottery will also draw four $10,000 prizes, sixty $1,000 prizes, one thousand $100 prizes and two thousand $50 prizes.
The winning numbers will be announced on December 30 and will be published on Lottery Post's Idaho Lottery Results page (www.lotterypost.com/results/id).

I like this raffle a lot better than Florida's. A quarter of the tickets at half the price.
Wow, some of the raffles are about sold out while VA still has over 2/3 of their tickets remaining. They still had over 225,000 left out of the original 330,000 as of 10 pm tonight. This could be good news for players short term if they stick to the original draw date and prize allotment but bad news long term regarding the future of raffle games. I still think sales will increase a lot in the next week and a half but I'm starting to kinda doubt a sellout now in VA. That seems strange taking into cosideration that VA has a much larger population than Idaho. About seven and 3/4 million people compared to about one and 1/4 million people.
PA should claim they are about sold out too pretty soon as they always do. With this recession I doubt they actually sell out, unless they buy the rest out themselves. Just once I would like to see them draw from about half or less of the expected tickets so my chances increase. I have to see it that though as the lottery wants to keep the odds as high as possible. OR they will just pull the "extended draw" crap so that all of them sell.
No way. The lottery does not "buy their own tickets" and does not lie about sales. There is no way in the world. If they say they sold out, they sold out to players.
I hope you are right Todd, but I have my doubts. I checked last years Rhode Island raffle on the RI lottery website and there is no pic or even a mentioning of who won last years drawing. And I noticed that the 1 million dollar winning ticket(there was only one million dollar prize) was one of the last 5000 sold. So if they were going to buy them up, it would be last remaining tickets. It seems suspicious to me. It would be nice to find out who won through some source, if not from the lottery itself, to give the lottery credibility. I've heard of some corruption in the RI govt. in recent years.
I would not put anything past them. I never saw any information on most of the alleged winners either, or maybe they claim they did not claim the million? They also never listed winner's pictures either. Anyone can make up a name and town, or even a fake pic. Either way, I don't believe squat until I see a win personally.
I'm sure if you wrote to the R.I. Lottery they would give you the facts about who won (if someone claimed the prize), since it is public information. Don't let the fact that you didn't see something lead you to create suspicion. The lotteries tend to be good about replying -- give it a try, and worry about the important things (like computerized drawings).
That's another thing that it is suspicious. All these raffles are done by a random number generator(computer generated and not drawn in front of the public, like that El Gordo drawing) which is another reason to be suspicious
