Starting Wednesday, April 2, 2008, all Powerball states will be offering Powerball players the chance to multiply non-jackpot prizes by 10.
During April, the game's Power Play feature, which multiplies non-jackpot prizes between two and five times, depending on the Power Play number drawn, will include a multiplier of 10.
If 10 were drawn as that evening's multiplier, a player holding a $200,000 prize-winning ticket for that specific drawing would win $2 million if the wager includes Power Play.
Power Play costs an additional $1 per play per drawing. The "Power Play 10X" promotion kicks off with the April 2 Powerball drawing and runs through the April 30 drawing. If the number 10 is not drawn as the multiplier during April, the promotion will continue until it is drawn.
