Millionaire Raffle is a raffle game offered by the Pennsylvania Lottery, with a limited number of $20 tickets.

With only 625,000 tickets sold for the raffle, Millionaire Raffle offers the best odds to win $1 million of any Pennsylvania Lottery game.

This raffle drawing awarded more prize money than any previous raffle conducted in the state of Pennsylvania, with a total of $6.4 million awarded to 8,000 lucky winners.

There was one drawing on December 29, 2007 to select five $1 million prize winners, five $100,000 prize winners, 200 $1,000 prize winners, and 7,790 $100 prize winners.

Tickets first went on sale Nov. 9, 2007.

All prize levels are paid out in cash, including the jackpot.

All 200 winning tickets of $1,000 and all 7,790 winning tickets of $100 can be validated and paid at any numbers games retailer.

Players with winning tickets worth $100,000 and $1 million must file a claim for payment.

Winning tickets may be redeemed up to one year after the drawing date, or until Dec. 29, 2008.

I want to see full pictures and press conferences of the alleged winners. I doubt there will be any, as the PA lottery did not sell as many tickets as they claim. I smell scam.

So, you think the lottery is pocketing the prize money or something?

When I checked the website last Wednesday, they had sold 97% of the tickets and I bought ticket number 611641 about an hour later. The $1 million and $100,000 winners bought their tickets before I did.

The Ohio Lottery sold their raffle tickets in reverse order starting with ticket number 500,000 but didn't update the website as often so it showed large jumps in sales figures. The site has shown there are 77,000 tickets left since Friday but all the tickets might have been sold by now.

I like the one in nj, you can win $500. When they say it gives out more prize money than before that is because they sold more tickets than before with the same return ratio.

Having a number toward the end of the series does *not* decrease your odds. The $1M winner could be in the first few or the last few, the odds being the same (long shot) as anywhere else in the series. It would be the same as thinking that on the PA midday which is computerized, that 0 or 9 rarely or never come out.

I notice nowadays they don't sell out as quickly as when they were first tried. Don't forget the whole thing is computerized!

I don't think they are pocketing the money, they do enough of that anyway, but I doubt they sold as many tickets as they claim. I also would not be surprised if no one claimed the million dollar prizes, or most of them.

But I bet they pocketed a lot of "tickets."

I don't like carrying around bad karma, so I apologize for my comments about the raffle. Although I will always be skeptical until the day I win, perhaps I was being a little bit over the top. I just get so sick and tired of spending so much and nothing but lose lose lose. So I am ready for the win win win, as I already had enough of the former.
