Million Dollar Raffle is a raffle game offered by the Indiana Lottery, with a limited number of $20 tickets.
With only 325,000 tickets sold for the raffle, Million Dollar Raffle offers the best odds to win $1 million of any Hoosier Lottery game.
There is one drawing on August 16, 2007 to select two million-dollar prize winners, five $100,000 prize winners, and 770 $1,000 prize winners.

Well looks like another state that didn't sell all the tickets they were expecting.

Is this bad news for future raffles, either in Indiana or in other states who are considering one but watching the results other states have?
I used to enter the raffles for the $350,000 St. Jude's dream home for $100. The limit here was 7,000 tickets up for sale. The first year they got them all sold but the 2nd year they only sold a little more than half and there was no 3rd year. I'm very disappointed because it was fairly good odds and lots of fun. There were lots of secondary prizes too, tho I didn't win any of those either.
The biggest problem with the raffle concept is that people buy one ticket then realize when they don't win it was "a waste". They don't buy again.
