Powerball

Oklahoma has its first Powerball jackpot winner since it joined the multistate lottery game earlier this year.

No one came forward Sunday to claim the $101.8 million jackpot.

The winning numbers drawn Saturday were 10, 20, 22, 39, 48 and the Powerball was 25.

Oklahoma Lottery executive director Jim Scroggins urged players to check their numbers closely and contact his office.

"There are significant considerations with a prize of this amount and the lottery would like to offer any assistance we can," he said in a statement.

The winner can take either take 30 installments over a 29-year period or a lump sum payment of more than $46.2 million.

Following a statewide vote, Oklahoma started its own lottery by offering scratch-off tickets in October and a $500 "Pick 3" drawing in November. It joined the Powerball drawing in January.

Powerball is offered in 29 states, the District of Columbia, and the U.S. Virgin Islands.

Maybe somewhere there is a rule written in both the Powerball and Mega Millions by-laws, that every story about either game has to end with what states the game is played in. Is this true? Just wondering.

That hasn't stopped religious groups from putting drones in the government to impose their beliefs upon the American people. For example, religious groups are the big thing keeping the lottery from coming to Alabama. Sorry for going off-topic, but I felt it was important to point that out.

With all due respect to "Cash n'Carry"......the statement noted above should have been stricken from the record...how dare they even suggest that $$$$101mills being broken down into 30 installments=ANNUITY.....????????
