A Spartanburg, South Carolina, woman won $1 million Monday after purchasing a ticket from a convenience store in Simpsonville, lottery officials said.

The winner, a two-time breast cancer survivor, said she plans to give part of her winnings from the Carolina Millionaires Club instant ticket to the American Cancer Society. She wanted to remain anonymous to avoid any publicity, lottery officials said Tuesday.

The ticket was purchased at the Piedmont Petro Corner Mart in Simpsonville.

But it wasn't the only lucky ticket turned in recently.

In addition to the $1 million prize, the lottery handed out $1.5 million in additional prizes Monday and Tuesday, with most of the winnings coming from three Palmetto Cash 5 winners and a Powerball winner who picked all the winning numbers except the Powerball.
