A routine audit of lottery tickets conducted by the Texas Lottery Commission showed that more than $37,000 in scratch-off tickets were missing from a Flower Mound convenience store.
The tickets were missing from a Diamond Shamrock station in the 220 block of Long Prairie Road.
Police later arrested a store employee, Joanna Diaz, on charges of theft.

it was the same with the plcae i used to work at. at the end of every night, my boss would have me write down the instant ticket numbers, and then he would take a look at the sales reports for the day, and then he would count the drawer for the night.

Too many Ma & Pa stores selling tickets have to hire outside of family. These stores depend on honest family members working cheap and non-family members aren't cheap or honest. They usually go out of business without family support.
