A New York company will be Oklahoma's first provider of lottery games.
The Oklahoma Lottery Commission selected Scientific Games Corp. Tuesday to provide lottery terminals and scratch-off tickets. The company will get a $6 million contract to provide the games.
The Commission also approved a proposal that retail outlets selling lottery tickets would receive a 6 percent share of sales. The commission decided drawings for the lottery would be held at an Oklahoma City television station, but the station won't be selected until the commission's next meeting on Aug. 29.
Scratch-and-win games are scheduled to start on Oct. 12. Officials said they will run anywhere from $1 to $5, and later $10 apiece.
