A Michigan man, who opted to remain anonymous, scratched his way to the top prize of $1 million in the Millionaire's Casino Instant game.
The lucky ticket was purchased at D'Angelo's Party Store, 30604 Ford, in Garden City.
A regular player since the Lottery's inception 33 years ago, the man said he didn't sleep and was in shock and disbelief after realizing his ticket was really a $1 million dollar winner.
The man told lottery officials that he hid his ticket before cashing it in at Lottery Central and had no immediate plans with his prize money.
The man was a former Garden City resident who purchased the winning ticket while visiting the area.

AFAIK the $1 million is annuity, but with a cash option. Please correct me.
No the million is still all cash. I think the $2,000,000 prize on the $20 tickets is now an annuity.

At least Michigan is better for scratch-off players than NY.
could this winner have plans to rebuild detroit?
If he is smart. NO.
as a long time detroit resident.......the question remains does detroit need rebuilding? the answer is........ Detroit is doing just fine...and for those that don't do anything except sit in front of the T.V. and rely on the 5 o'clock news.... Detroit is doing just fine.. probably more housing starts than anyplace else in america....Check it out for yourself!!!
