Happy Festivus everyone!
A lot of the Japanese-Americans that were put in internement camps in Hawaii went on to join the US Army.
The formed the 442nd Regimental Combat ream which, to this day, is the most decorated US military unit.
Tiday the 442nd isremembered as the most decorated unit for its size and length of service in the history of the US military. The unit, totaling about 18,000 men, over 4,000 Purple Hearts, 4,000 Bronze Stars, 560 Silver Star Medals, 21 Medals of Honor, and seven Presidential Unit Citations. Additionally, the 100th garnished their own impressive record prior to their absorption into the 442nd. In 2010, various groups and advocates, including the National Veterans Network, were successful in obtaining congressional passage of the bill S. 1055, awarding all members of the 100th and 442nd, along with the Military Intelligence Service, the Congressional Gold Medal for their heroic service in World War II.
Against the odds, the men of the 100th Infantry Battalion and the 442nd Regimental Combat Team did “go for broke.” Despite the years of suspicion and racism that prevailed at home, these Nisei men fought for their country and their ideals of freedom and democracy. They fought heroically, leaving behind a record that is still untouched today.

Whole checking out one star ratings on various threads I noticed that in many cases those who leave one star ratings rarely, if ever, themselves start threads.
Speaks volumes.
Just prior to the game the announcers on TBS stated that the Dodgers and Giants had never met post season.
I wonder what they'd call the three games played after the 1962 season ended and prior to the world Series, both teams finished with exact records on the last day of the season.
I know those announcers are too young to remember that, probably not even born then, but come on guys, do your homework!
Here’s a “hypothetical” story for you…
Years ago, there was a rinky-dink country that was socialist.
This country was a dump and socialism was destroying it.
The US government was trying to take down a terrorist in this country and so it had to work with one of the socialist leaders.
The operative who was working closely with this socialist leader once asked him about socialism and said something along the lines of…
“Don’t you care that it doesn’t work and that it’s hurting your country?”
Guess what that socialist leader said?
He said (and I’m paraphrasing)…
“Of course, I know socialism doesn’t work.
Everyone knows that socialism doesn’t work, except if you’re at the top. And I’m in the government at the top and it works well for me.”
Well, I guess, at least for once, the guy was honest.
The funny thing is, this is not the first socialist leader who’s said something similar behind closed doors.
They know it doesn’t work.
But they know they can get votes from it and that they’ll be able to live fat and happy off their government paycheck.
However, as Margaret Thatcher famously said…
“The problem with socialism is that you eventually run out of other people's money.”
With spending in this country about to skyrocket on socialist programs, it’s important to keep an eye on the ball and invest in tangible assets that hold value.

From MSN, well this is different;
Was 'The Wizard Of Oz' All About Money?
There is overwhelming scholarly evidence to support the idea that L. Frank Baum's "The Wonderful Wizard of Oz" was actually a clever allegory about money and the Populist movement that was born out of American financial insecurity. The Emerald City represented greenbacks. The Yellow-Brick Road represented the populist-preferred gold standard. Dorothy's famous ruby slippers were originally silver, which represented the anti-inflation free-silver movement. The scarecrow represented the Populist Midwestern farmer, perceived to be brainless by Northern bankers. The Tin Man represented dehumanized factory workers, whom populists saw as little more than humanoid machines who would benefit from joining their movement. Williams Jennings Bryan, who populists didn't believe had the courage to buck the status quo and campaign against William McKinley on the gold standard, was the Cowardly Lion, while the Wizard represented McKinley. Dorothy was the average middle American, who had the power to kill an evil witch (the existing monetary system) as long as she believed in herself.

This is important reading…
Because it’s been happening for a while now…
And far too many Americans are “burying their head in the sand” about it.
But, there are 4 parts of a communist takeover and they go as follows…
Part one is to infiltrate key places.
This includes universities.
I don’t have to tell you how crazy and liberal universities are.
A ton of universities (especially in the state of New York) have been infiltrated by Chinese operatives to spread communism.
Now, most of the liberal professors are book smart, but so dumb to common sense that these Chinese operatives are able to easily brainwash them.
These professors have no idea that they’re being played like a fiddle.
Plus, you want to spread communism early on to the youth.
You want them to grow up believing in the “green new deal” and that everything should be free from the government.
Other places that are infiltrated are the media.
Again, you know how liberal the media is and they are easily brainwashed too.
We have seen how the media is afraid to call the violent looters, violent at all.
One of the funniest things I saw on CNN was this:
A news crew was talking about the “peaceful protestors” and in the background was a burning car and people throwing rocks and bottles.
The second part of a communist takeover is to take over local governments.
Infect as many local governments as you can and spread it all around the nation.
We have seen local leaders in Seattle, New York, Portland, etc. supporting the violence and even marching with the violent protesters.
These leaders are afraid to lose their liberal votes.
Some of these leaders do know what they are doing and are evil.
But, others are just dumb human beings who want to get re-elected.
Part 3 of the communist takeover is when they realize they can push things to the limit.
They realize that parts 1 and 2 have gone so beautifully for them that they can resort to extreme violence and the population will fall in line.
This is where they form gangs and secret police to do their will and the population is afraid to speak out.
This is where the Second Amendment disappears.
This is where anyone who doesn’t support their cause (violence, communism, destruction of capitalism) is an enemy to them and must be punished.
It is all happening right now under the premise of “social justice.”
While some of these people probably think they are doing good, they are puppets of their communist overlords who are laughing in delight.
Part 4 is where you seem them tear up the Constitution.
Remember how Nancy Pelosi tore up Trump’s speech at the State of the Union?
The communists will get on national TV and do the same with the Constitution.
This is why good men (you) cannot stay silent.
You must vote.
You must not be afraid to speak your opinion.
You must not be afraid to wear that T-shirt with a gun on it.
You must not be afraid to protect and promote freedom any chance you get.
You must talk to the young people in your life and help them understand what freedom truly is.

(Recieved in e-mail )Why Some Folks Have Come to Despise the NFL
NFL "Refresher" NFL History...history not often reported or leaked to the ticket holders. I hope this helps you; it opened my eyes, to better understand when and why the public’s respect for the NFL organization started to crumble....
* In 2012 the NFL had an issue with Tim Tebow kneeling before each game to pray, they also had an issue with Tebow wearing John 3:16 as part of his eye-black to avoid glare, and made him take it off.
* In 2013 the NFL fined Brandon Marshall for wearing green cleats to raise awareness for people with mental health disorders.
* In 2014 Robert Griffin III (RG3) entered a post-game press conference wearing a shirt that said "Know Jesus Know Peace" but was forced to turn it inside out by an NFL uniform inspector before speaking at the podium.
* In 2015 DeAngelo Williams was fined for wearing "Find the Cure "eye black for breast cancer awareness.
* In 2015 William Gay was fined for wearing purple cleats to raise awareness for domestic violence. (Not that the NFL has a domestic violence problem..).
*In 2016 the NFL prevented the Dallas Cowboys from wearing a decal on their helmet in honor of 5 Dallas Police officers killed in the line of duty.
* 2016 the NFL threatened to fine players who wanted to wear cleats to commemorate the 15th anniversary of 9/11.
So tell me again how the NFL supports free speech and expression. It seems quite clear based on these facts that the NFL has taken a position against any action by NFL players demonstrating RESPECT for any issue:
For God, social causes such as mental health, cancer, domestic violence, for cops killed arbitrarily, for being cops, or for the Memory of 9/11...
BUT they will allow demonstrations of DISRESPECT for our National Flag, our National Anthem, for America , and for the American People, if it will help mollify a particular Group and its supporters. That is who and what the NFL now has shown itself to be.
Pass this post along to all your friends and family, if you believe it worthy of sharing. Honor our military; too many of whom have come home with the American Flag draped over their coffin.
61 years ago today, Harvey Haddix of the Pirates pitched a no hitter for 12 innings and lost in the 13th.
May 14 1948 Israel became a nation.

Some Nurses Are So caringWhile riding my Harley, I swerved to avoid hitting a deer, lost control and landed in a ditch, severely banging my head.Dazed and confused I crawled out of the ditch to the edge of the road when a shiny new convertible pulled up with a very beautiful woman who asked, "Are you okay?"As I looked up, I noticed she was wearing a low-cut blouse with cleavage to die for."I'm okay I think," I replied as I pulled myself up to the side of the car to get a closer look. She said, "Get in and I'll take you home, so I can clean and bandage that nasty scrape on your head.""That's nice of you," I answered, "but I don't think my wife will like me doing that!""Oh, come now, I'm a nurse," she insisted. "I need to see if you have any more scrapes and then treat them properly."Well, she was really pretty and very persuasive. Being sort of shaken and weak, I agreed, but repeated, "I'm sure my wife won't like this."We arrived at her place which was just few miles away and, after a couple of cold beers and the bandaging, I thanked her and said, "I feel a lot better, but I know my wife is going to be really upset so I'd better go now.""Don't be silly!" she said with a smile. "Stay for a while. She won't know anything. By the way, where is she?""Still in the ditch, I guess."
